Craig took me to the Enchanted Forest when we first started dating. It is a fun little amusement park just south of Salem, OR with a Fairy Tale Theme and a few fun rides. We have been back a few times since and thought it would be the perfect place to take Andrew this summer. The Kovis Family joined us on the adventure. The kids (and Craig and Aimee) climbed through an underground rabbit whole. Slid out of the Old Woman's Shoe and rode lots of fun rides. Caetlyn wasn't into the rides too much but Andrew and Patrick loved the Roller Coaster.

The Portland Zoo was enjoyed by all. It was a hot day but we saw lots of animals and had a fun time.

I think Andrew liked the Elephants most of all.

Aimee and I left early with the kids to try to make the ride easier on them. What were we thinking? There was tons of construction on the way there and we finally made a stop at Multnoma Falls for a "potty break." We ended up skipping the museum we planned on stopping at and just heading straight down to Salem with a quick stop at the Toys R Us outlet on the way.

It's a Girl!
We are expecting a baby girl to join our family this December. I am currently 22 weeks pregnant and happy to be out of the morning (which for some reason hit between 2pm and 10pm) sickness stage. All is well and we are excited for Andrew to have a baby sister. He enjoys saying "hi baby" and poking me in the belly and then doing it to whoever else is in the room too. He's beating up on his little sister already.
Above are two profile shots at our 21 week appointment and below is... 1) her footprint 2) It's a Girl (or as the Dr. calls it "landing gear") 3) Scratching her head

Against my wishes, we headed off for Vegas this summer once again. I knew my daddy's boy was going to be miserable without his daddy for 14 days so we headed down to join him. Jacksen met us at the airport in Seattle and we were on our way. I enjoyed having a helper to chase a very active two year old all over the city. We visited several places, in addition to watching basketball games, and swam every night AFTER the sun went down.
3...2...1...TAKE OFF. Being two, Andrew got his very own seat. He slept on the way to Seattle but was too excited to have "Jack-sit" join us there and was up the whole rest of the flight down. Exhausted from the trip...and having to get up at 5:30 he luckily slept the whole flight back.

Jacksen and Andrew both loved seeing the Lions, Tigers, Dolphins and other animals at the Mirage Secret Garden.

The Las Vegas Children's Museum was a huge hit. We could have spent the entire day here. From Tornado Tubes to Singing E-I-E-I-O, they had it all. Andrew especially liked the climbing structure and the Mechanics Shop.

Andrew may only be two but he has gone to the Shark Museum at Mandalay Bay twice already. Mom loves this aquarium and Jacksen does too. We returned this year for some more fishy fun!

We all enjoyed the statue show at Cesar's Palace. We even got to see Pete Rose at one of the stores signing autographs. I couldn't believe we had to explain to Jacksen who he was. God we're getting old!
The light show in old downtown is always a favorite. Great music, dancing and lots of fun.

Andrew had a blast riding rides at the Circus Circus with Grandma Dee while Jacksen played Laser Tag with the big boys. He rode helicopters, a big bus, the roller coaster and the frog hopper all several times.
